About Phoaly

Phoaly is a local-first photo organizer for Mac. It reads the folders you already keep in Finder instead of building a separate library: no import, no cloud upload, and no account. On this Mac it indexes photos for one-sentence visual search in Chinese or English, clusters people with on-device face recognition, sorts scenes into twelve categories, shows GPS footprints on a map (offline gazetteer), and offers a workbench to preview rules, renames, dedupe, and freeform moves before anything on disk changes. Browsing and scanning are read-only; originals stay where they are. Requires macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon. Download the trial DMG from the site; buy once for 1 or 2 Macs with lifetime updates.
